DESCRIPTION
St. John's wort, also called St. John's wort, corazoncillo or military herb, is of an intense green color, sautéed by the dazzling yellow of its small flowers. We make this precious oil meticulously following the rules of the ancient alchemists, that is, by macerating the harvested plant in extra virgin olive oil. Thus, after harvesting it at the right astrological time, we macerate it in the sun and moon so that it obtains all the benefits that this oil brings us and also reaches the beautiful ruby color that characterizes it, indicating that the maceration has come to an end.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
St. John's wort oil is obtained from the alchemical maceration of the floral tops of St. John's Wort in virgin olive oil of first cold pressing. According to ancient alchemical tradition, harvesting the plant on St. John's Day, just at the time of flowering, allows the highest extraction yield to be obtained. This oil has an enormous regenerative power for skin punished by aging or any external agent. Softening, moisturizing, restructuring and dermoprotective, it allows treating all types of skin alterations and lesions such as scars, favoring tissue recovery. Due to the diantronas and pseudohypericin, both of which act as natural pigments, this oil is actually stable to oxidation. These ingredients belonging to the same plant are also responsible for the cosmetic properties along with the rest of the phytochemicals, characteristic of St. John's Wort. Thus, tannins and hyperforin give St. John's wort oil a healing action due to its highly cell-regenerating power at the epidermal level and also provides an antiseptic action, helping to moderate inflammation in damaged skin areas.
