DESCRIPTION

Aceite Esencial obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and floral tops of the Hyssopus officinalis plant, originating in the Mediterranean. The hyssop is a perennial bush or subshrub, about 30 to 60cm high. The stem lignifies at the base, from which numerous very straight branches, hairy at the distal end, sprout. The leaves are opposite, dark green and about 2 to 2.5cm long. In summer it produces inflorescences in the form of dense terminal spikes of pink, blue or more rarely white flowers, very fragrant that give rise to a fruit. Its name derives from the Greek name "hyssopus" which means herb that smells good. Both the leaves and flowers of hyssop have been highly prized since ancient times for their medicinal properties. Its aceite esencial is a steam distillate of the leaves and floral tops. It is one of the herbs that the Old Testament prescribes to eat during the Easter rite, as it was used as a purifier and protector.

Properties of hyssop aceite esencial : On a cosmetic level: Hyssop Aceite Esencial has the property of cleansing and toning the skin, it is astringent, regenerating and soothing; especially in cases of swelling or inflammation. It also has a detoxifying action so it is ideal for detox treatments and waste eliminators. On an emotional level: Hyssop Aceite Esencial promotes alertness and mental activity. It is a great purifier that works as an energy barrier at both entry and exit points. It is a aceite esencial with a protective effect in manual therapies.

HOW TO USE

Diffuser: the use of heat-free diffusers such as the ALQVIMIA Flask is recommended, as heat modifies the properties of the oil. Use maximum of 10 drops of Aceite Esencial in the diffuser. Body Massage: mix in a carrier vegetable oil at a maximum rate of 3% (60 drops of Aceite Esencial per 100mL of Vegetable Oil). Bathtub: dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Aceite Esencial in a small amount of milk (vegetable or animal), yogurt, honey, salt or Bath Gel. This is because Essential Oils are not soluble in water and need a vehicle to be able to dissolve in the bathtub. Steam Inhalation: Apply a maximum of 5 drops of Aceite Esencial to a saucepan of hot water with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale covering the head and saucepan with a towel, to keep the steam for longer.

CONSERVATION

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
